Luz, Eda, King, and the Collector fly above and see it's originating from Belos' castle, which has been consumed by the mold. The castle then reconstructs into a monstrous dragon-like avatar of Belos, who proclaims he will cleanse the Boiling Isles once and for all and unleashes blue fire across the land.

The Collector places the Archive House safely on the Titan's head before collapsing. Amity walks up to him, and the Collector flinches at first, scared of her reaction, but then sees Amity extending her hand to help him out, which he tearfully grabs. Running outside, the group sees Belos' corruption disintegrating to ash and blowing across the isles, with the Hexside students also witnessing this. Outside, Belos crash-lands at the entrance to his castle, Raine continuing to struggle against him.

She then pursues Luz, who, not wanting to fight her girlfriend, flees. On April 9th, 2023, “Watching and Dreaming” premiered, concluding the series. I’m sure we all wish it could have lasted longer, and I’m sure there are things we all wish could have been done if there was more time. Then, on command from Vee, we see Owlbert fly through the new portal door to gather the rest of the gang. She flies down to the forest where we see (to many peoples’ joy), Hunter carving a Palisman for Braxas, having clearly learned from Dell Clawthorne, who sits behind him with Gwendolyn.
